 Above-Worktop Areas

Think about using the space above the worktop to store and display the more decorative items like plates and glassware.

Plates can be on a special rack, which, as they will not be on top of each other, will also help to help to avoid chipping.

Mugs and cups can be hung from pegs or placed on shelves for handy display. Frequently used utensils can be hung on a rail over the main working area for ease of use but again, do not overdo this.

Spice racks to look good over worktops.

Just bear in mind that any items on open display will pick up grease and dust and will need to be kept clean. Glass cupboard doors would reduce this need.

Try to use different storage options to introduce variety into your kitchen. Other areas of our site can help in this respect.
